Well, here we go again,
Is this a media beatup or is Issi really keen on playing for Tonga???
Say I'm the CEO of St George Bank and I've publicly signed a contract to take over the CEO's job at Westpac, 6 ,months from now, would St George offer me the opportunity to a heap of publicity, most of which will be focused on the fact that I am going to one of their bitter rivals, or would they have already shown me the door???
I know, I know, I'm contracted to St George until then, but surely in the world of business I would be punted shortly after making the announcement, to at least minimise the publicity that Westpac would have gained from my continued time in the spotlight.

Two things related too this issue:
1. GWS AFL team, who the **** cares, Greater West Sydney is NSWRL heartland and they signed a QLD League Star? Genius's! thats the way to get people on side!
2. Cant seem to remember my other point??

I think you find in the corporate world that you would be punted immediately from St George to minimise the risk of gathering IP (i.e. customer databses etc). In most cases in large corporations, as soon as you sign with another competitor, your resignation commences immediately. Different story if you are entering a different industry though.
Didn't know you worked for the bank .....................
